This classic Yina figure is created of hard dense wood and decorated with natural pigments. With a deep weathered patina, these carved heads represent ancient and powerful spirits whilst active in Yam rituals. Unique to the Kwoma and Nukuma people, this is a fine example of a well preserved and used spirit figure.
