A large hardwood Sing-Sing mask from Munjun Village, Coastal Sepik. This mask was traditionally known as a “Meri Mask” and was used in customary ceremonial dance and rituals. Remnants of previously applied red pigment remains along with a glossy patina throughout, adorned with more recent attachments.
