A pair of well used Sago Pegs from the Wosera region. Used in attaching sheets of sago palm bark together to remove the pith of the sago palm. Sago flour is an important food source to many New Guinea people. The pegs display carved ancestral faces and woven bush twine. Glossy patina throughout from ongoing use.
